So we found out that our wedding (which was scheduled for June 23rd) landed on the weeked of the Monterey Jazz Festival. If you don't know, this is a huge event and it makes hotel prices in the area shoot up.
$200 for Travelodge? I don't think so. Besides, they were fully booked for that weekend!
After several panicked phone calls to the mission and to my mom (who has been running around the area previewing possible reception locations for us -- Thanks Mom!), we have changed the date.
The wedding ceremony is now:
